Default XJ12 Series II nuts driving me nuts

Trying to change the oil on XJ12 Series II 1978 model, located the nut under the car but its so damn tight, should I be trying clockwise or anticlockwise to loosen it.

These days its usually clockwise to tighten, anti to loosen but some bolts on the jag are the opposite so its screwing with my mind

Any one know for sure
Thanks in advance

Oil drain plug is standard anti-clockwise to release, and yes there are some dumb *** gorilla's out there that have no idea, and should not be allowed near any car, not just Jags.
