Can anyone tell me if the seats (front and back) from a series 3 Sovereign will slot straight into series 1? I am aware there will be the electrics to consider but am more interested in the mounting points, etc. The seats in my series 1 are a bit "how's your father" and I have the chance to pick up some reasonably good ones out of a series 3. Thanks in advance.

I've seen a Series 1 with Series 3 seats installed so it must not be very difficult.

 

You can put your front belts into the pillar like the S3 and use the S3 rear seat belts with shoulder straps.

The rears are straight bolt in improvements. I have included photos on how to install the front belts and pickup a lot of rear foot room for the rear passengers.

I chose to install PT Cruiser front seats that really have high head rests, center arm rests, heated bottoms and power controls for the driver. Having
a lumbar adjustment is wonderful!
