XJ6 series II front suspension
I have a 1974 XJ6 suspension under my 48 Chevy Panel Truck. Had to replace the rack and pinion. Went to get a front end alignment and was told I needed ball joints and bushings. Had those replaced, back for alignment and now still have movement at upper bushings. Could the upper control arms be worn? They adjusted the toe and camber, but said it will not be right until the movement is gone in the bushings. Now I have a bad pull to the left. Any ideas as to what the problem could be? Thanks for any help!
Worn control arms doesn't seem likely to me but I guess anything is possible.
Perhaps a worn fulcrum shaft, item #3 in the illustration?

My mechanic found the problem. The bushing were loose side to side on the fulcrum stud. He added a washer to the inside and on the outside and then they tightened right up. The washer that was on the shaft originally stopped just past the threads, is that proper? Thanks for your input!
