Default ZS Carb leaking oil

Hi all. I noticed yesterday oil on the underside of my rear ZS carb. Any idea how it's leaking from the carb? Small o-ring somewhere I'm missing?

Thanks!

The only oil in a Stromberg is in the tube of the piston. It shouldn't be leaking out to best of my experience. Unscrew and pull each of the black big plastic thumbscrews on top and oil should be approx. 3/4 of the way to the top in the tube. When reinserting the thumbscrew with shaft and barrel on end, there should be slight resistance when pushing it back down into the oil.

Hi Bill,
Yes, that all checks out yet the oil from the rear carb is leaking out. Searching the web I have found (but have not fully read) an article about a small o-ring on a screw that retains the metering needle ( I think, going off memory here. LOL.)

I'll update after reading.

Yes, but that would be retaining gasoline, not oil.

If the needle is adjustable from the top, then it is holding dash pot oil from dripping into throttle body

Here is a link to the article. I'm just waiting on free time to give it a detail read.
