Default 1976 color code?

How can I find the correct color for a 1976 XJ-S?
Attached are the decal in the door post and the tag in the engine compartment.

petemohr,

Jaguar Classic can give you the paint and trim codes for your car. However, there were relatively few colours used on 1975 XJS so you can work it easily enough. The paint colours were:

Signal Red
Regency Red
Carriage Brown
Squadron Blue
Dark Blue
Yellow Gold
Old English White
British Racing Green

Hope that helps

Paul

Thanks - It is BRG but there are so many variations I'd like to get the correct one.
BTW I checked in the trunk - no joy.

I looked up the Dupont Historical colour library, and the chart for 1976 shows the BRG code as BLVC 254 or Dupont number 32500.
Chart here: ???txt.title???
