1984 interior mirror
mislaid mine so i need some new fixing screws for the interior rear view mirror, anyone know what size thread they are as they are unavailable from jaguar part no BD432784
This is probably an unscientific method to guess what you want.
Since I don't have my XJS anymore it's the best I can do.
I went through my Jaguar parts bins to my hardware/fasteners.
My black interior fastener tray had three countersunk Phillips head machine screws.
They fit through the holes in my spare rear view mirror perfectly.
I fit them up next to my M5x0.8 tap and the threads locked perfectly.
They were 20 mm long which gives you about 10 mm free thread.
You might even find them at your local ACE hardware.
Good luck,
Steve
