Default 1985 xjs new to me

I just bought this car and have some questions.... For a throatier sound can I remove the resonator?, I see a computer chip advertised that adds 60 hp. I did that to my 911 turbo and got great results. Will it help the 6cyl xjs? I need an owners manual, convertible top boot and floor mats-any suggestions? Thanks

Owner's manual you can usually find on eBay. The other parts there too. Paul's Jaguar usually has hard to find upholstery. You have to call them. They are not for web based transactions beyond their eBay store.

No, the computer chip won't fit an 85 XJS, and are you sure it's an 85? I didn't think they came with 6 cylinders that year?

AFAIK '85 was the first year for six cylinder cars. Extremely rare to see one in the USA....probably grey-market

Yes.

You might not like the sound, but you can do it. :-)
