Hey EcbJag,
I agree and have put some pictures up in my album.
Maybe you did not bother to look there nor that to the fact that i am new in this forum and working my way into participating.
With all due respect, i think it is certainly discouraging and somewhat offensive to refer a member's participation as " Worthless", specially when it comes from a Senior Member.
A bit of courtesy doesn't harm.
Enough said !

The “worthless” thing was posted with zero ill intent. It’s customary for new folks to post pictures of their Jags, in whatever condition they may be. Yours is a rare model, too - we are all looking forward to ogling it. Will check out your garage in the meantime. And once again, welcome!
(edit) Looking good!! Always said Alpine head units look right at home with the green, chunky controls.

In California, just a few days before being shipped to Dubai.
Hey Flint.
I did put up 7 or 8 pics in my album.
Maybe that's the wrong place to show them.
I'll attach some here now and more in a few days time.
Hope the members enjoy them.
A special kind of motoring, indeed. Don’t remember the last time I saw one of those on the road. Dry nice! Looking forward to seeing more!

Hey VancouverXJ6
Thank you for the compliment.
I have never had an overheating problem despite summers here reaching over 50 C /122 F but have heard many stories of V12 owners that have and all kind of fixes for that, like new aluminium custom radiators, modified electric and non-electric fans, "super" thermostats, hybrid coolants and the list goes. Most of the time none of those solutions actually work.
The V 12 engine on the Jaguar is beautifully built engine, smoother and quieter than many modern V 12's. If the car overheats then the engine is not running properly. Traffic jams, stop and go, keeping the engine running in idle ( while reeving up to impress ) and attempting to drag race, not properly maintaining, modifying them and failing to constantly attend to the slightest problems immediately is their worst enemy.
Something so small like not tuning them correctly, not removing dirt and debris that can collect up, even neglecting that small bottom lip, storing them for long periods without running them on a daily basis or even not warming the engine up before driving them can lead to major problems. " A stitch in time saves nine " is so true with these car.
That said they are very sensitive, require high and on-going maintenance and a lot attention and TLC. The XJS and XJ-SC are touring cars and daily drivers ( maybe not for our modern cities but certainly for their era )over heat. They love being driven and open roads is their heaven. Give them that and it is unlikely that they will over heat.
Many may not agree and their opinions are respected but that is my experience with the Jag's V 12.
