Default 1990 XJS Convertible 5.3 v12 - FUNKY RIMS?

I almost can't pass this up... 200bucks!

How would they LOOK? Will they fit? Silver Emblem, of course.

I want to know what folks think or if they've seen this combo on an XJS... Cleaned up, maybe powder coated...? Chroming cost too much!

And HEY! Don't YOU go taking them out from under me, lol

Jaguar XJ6 15x7 CBC4688

I hear chroming is SUPER expensive...

If you like them, you should go for it.

Although I personally think that with such a particular design as the XJS, no wheels other than the ones originally meant for the car are complimentary. I know some people love their AM wheels and that in this case these are from an XJ6, but I would pass myself.

Those are a pass because 15 in touring tires are expensive and difficult to get at this point

I don’t have 15 inch in my XJS but I always hear this. There are 49 kinds of tires to choose from at Discounttire.com from 60 bucks a piece on up:

There used to be high performance GT tires in 15 inch available... Tires like a 235 cooper cobra or Pirelli P7. These are no more and what I was referring too. I still have a set of Cooper cobras but they are at the end of their life and worn. I swapped them off an XJ coupe before sold it for a set of passenger car 215s and there is no comparison in handling. Cant imagine them with the extra weight of a v12.

So...15 inch sedan tires on a v12 XJS....yikes... Not for me. I guess I'm coming at this from a diffrent angle. I have a xjs v12 convert with 16 inch sedan wheels and tires that the PO installed...and its bit loose I cant imagine 15"s. At the end of summer on one of my last drives of the season... a dear ran out in front of me on Hylan Blvd near WPP and steering and brake inputs were mearly suggestions. The old convert is getting 17"s for the spring.

As for powder coating... Not something I persuied around here.

Those rims may not fit the front. The stub axle may stick through the center,
