Well, I'm about a day away from making a purchase on a 1990 XJS Convertible from Monte Shelton Jag in Portland Or.

Low miles, 52,900, looks super. It's at an independent mechanic right now for an inpsection.

Dealer has no service records, Carfax is clean, but I'd like to see if anyone here has tips on determining whether action was taken on the recalls issued from 1990-1992. Mostly the ones having to do with fuel tank and adding some sort of purging mechanism.

Mechanic says, you can't ID this visually which I understand.

Anyhow, if there's some wisdom (I'm sure there is here) around any of this I'd be very grateful -

Ready to write the check, but never really dealt with 'fire' as a recall issue on an auto -
