Default 1994 XJS V12 6.0 no start/run

Got the old girl out yesterday, started fine but idled a little rough. Tried to give her gas would not respond. Eventually died. Then nothing when cranked. Looked at her today. Some fuel comes out the rail supply pipe when disconnected but nothing comes out of the regulator out port at any time when outlet pipe left disconnected. Tried powering both pumps directly, both run but no fuel comes out of reg port ever. So some fuel supply but not enough pressure to open regulator I'm thinking. What could be limiting the pressure? I notice a 'damper' in the fuel lines, anybody know if that could be the source of my problem? All the injectors stuck open? No smell of fuel. She ran great a few days before, loads of power and smooth running.

Edit: Fitted a pressure sampling port. 0 PSI pump 1, 5 PSI pump 2. Surely they can't both be faulty ? That would be my luck !

I fear I may have discovered the likely issue.

He sure does a lot of talking about stuff we couldn't give a damn about.
I wrote a post years ago about how after pulling the tank in my 94 6.0.
Almost every hose inside the tank had loose clamps and one hose was completely disconnected.

The fuel pump N2 only acts when 2850 rpm is exceeded... Until then I think that the pump N2 does not activate and if the N1 does not provide pressure, try to see if the fault is in the Pump 1 relay that has the yellow socket, changing it for that of Pump 2 with a green socket

Default Solved

Pump housings were both broken internally, had to modify them to stop them leaking. Good pressure now. Lots of photos if anyone needs them.

Aluminum bottle cap fitted to prevent seal blowing, working so far.
