Default 1994 XJS V12 fuel pump housing, broken barb

All, I replaced the fuel pump on my 94 V12 convertible a few weeks back and noticed that the fuel pump barb on one of the pump pods had come apart from the lid (the brass barb on the pod located to the right of the picture below).

I tried to use an epoxy called 'seal all' to glue it back in place and it lasted a short while before it came apart, and the car stopped running due to lack of fuel pressure. I was wondering if anyone had a permanent solution for this problem. I already put the word out to the local Jaguar specialists, but I'd be interested in knowing if there is a better epoxy to repair this part.

Thanks

Folks can say what they want but I am a big fan of epoxies... I've had great success with epoxies since FALLING into the car world a few years ago...

JB Weld makes great stuff and good fast setting epoxies...

But first, one question. How much does one of those baskets cost??? Maybe just replace it...?

I'm guessing that the one in question is the one on the left side in the photo? If so, looking as close as I can in a photo it looks like you were being sparing with the goop. There is a lot of room for the hose left on that spout... it doesn't have to be neat, it has to hold. Also, what type of epoxy did you use. All epoxies are not made the same...

Hi, the picture is ripped from another thread. It's not the one from my car which is still in the tank. I'm looking for a replacement. They are NLA new and I have calls out for a used one that I'm waiting to hear back on.

Thanks

Sounds serious. I would recommend the following adhesive....and don't be cheap with it!

3M Structural Adhesive #08101

I have also had good success with Devcon Plastic Welder from Home Depot.
