I'm trying to trace a no pulse situation on my 85 V12 injectors. Tracing the wiring and looking for shorts there is a module that I don't see mentioned in the wiring diagram, although it appears in almost every photo.

It is a large black module DAC 2589, located next to the Main, FI Relay and ECU in the trunk.

Does anyone know 1) what this module does and 2) where it is supposed to fit into the wiring schema.

It takes the injector pulse width information from the ECU and translates it in a language that your trip computer can understand. Look in the trip computer section of your diagrams.

Try unplugging it to see if anything changes. Doubtful, but worth a try
