Default 89 XJS axle pipes.

Are these things gold or something. I don't want to piece this part together, but the cost for the two is +140.00. Who has the best price for the axle pipes?
TIA

Sorry the exhaust system, the pipe over the axle.
Yes I know stainless. But with all the other parts.
You know what I mean? Young John is not a Doctor yet.

Peace

Ok, I am guessing you need new rear exhaust section. I cut mine off and am planning on going under the diff with 2.5".

You can have your exhaust shop install a custom piece and mount it under the diff plate. Here it will not cause any ground clearance issues.

Hey Warrjon,
Is there clearance enough to do this, and would you install the end muffler as well?

Yes there is enough room under the diff alternatively you can go between the LCA and driveshaft. I have attached a couple of pics the under the diff is an XJ not XJS but the rear is the same.

I am going to install the center mufflers and see what it sounds like, then if its too loud I'll add rear silencers.

I had to cut the pipes through the cage to get them out and one of my Cats was totally stuffed, so a new exhaust is needed. I am going to use 2.5" from the downpipe with 2.5" cats and run the pipe between the LCA and drive shaft. Care is needed here to ensure the pipe is not fouled on suspension travel. I will install the center mufflers only to start with.

How is your rear end rebuild comming along?

cheers
Warren
