Default 94-96 Facelift undertray.....again

Hello guys;

After hopelessly trying to unsuccessfully fabricate the undertray for my 95 XJS (not really the manual type) , I have been searching what seems like the entire world for a new or used part in good condition with absolutely no luck

Question is this::

Will a prefacelift undertray work with some light modifications? Anyone know? If I can get one of those to work it would be really great

Thanks !!

When you say undertray, are you referring to the plastic piece under the front of the engine bay and basically attached to the rear of the front bumper? If so, and if I can find my paperwork, I may have a solution for you.

Default Good news

Hello Sir,

I have some good news at last. These under trays ( BEC14385 ) are going into production over the next couple of weeks and we hope to have them in stock by the end of June.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Best regards
Glen

Holy mother of God.

I never thought that would happen.

I'll certainly be ordering one. Maybe I should order "some".

Is there a list of any other facelift parts that are being considered to be put back into production?

Thanks.

See?

Maybe Tata Motors understands the benefit of a strong parts back catalog better than its predecessors.

Oh gosh, it's a miracle !!

The website still won't give you the option to order one, but I will check back regularly. Much rather buy a new one than a overpriced used part !!

From the website, this is a big deal if you qualify:

In the UK, France, Germany and Australia, you can pick up your order from your local Jaguar dealer (free of shipping costs), or you can have it delivered 'direct to your door' at extra cost.

bad news( BEC14385 )

Hello,

Unfortunately, the production has been put back and we expect the parts in around the 10th October. The tools had to be moved to another supplier because the manufacturer we had originally identified could not produce in the end, after they said they could.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Kind regards
Glen

No, they don't fall off easily. There are about 11 fixings and they are are attached in multiple places to the bumper cover and in two places to the underside of the car. I think that the only reason they disappear is because owners can't be bothered to put them back after removing them. Increase airflow? I doubt it but they do protect some of the components such as the lower part of the rads from road debris etc.

Please note that Glen Parkes of Jaguar Classic Parts is not "xjsv12". He must be just pasting text of letters from Glen into posts. If you want to know about parts going back into production, write to Glen direct.

Order it to be collected from your local Jaguar Dealer and they are no shipping costs. Also Jaguar have storage & distribution warehouses in the US amongst other countries. So they may already be sitting there is the US, hence no delay if you're lucky.

I have tried to follow your instructions, "collected from your local jaguar dealership"
The Heritage/classic continues to explain that this part is only available in the UK.
AND THEY WANT OVER 100 pounds sterling for shipping.
