Default 94 convertible front speakers not working

The radio works fine and sound from the back speakers is great. Balance works but I don't see a way to "fade" from from to back to front.

To the left of the volume button there is a fader that can be swung up and down, along the edge of the volume button. I bet the lever is set all the way down. Just raise it til your speakers come on. Number 15 on the picture diagram

The 94 radio doesn't have the slider.

You would think that after changing the fuel pump, the wiring harness under the hood, the engine monitoring ECM, the charcoal evap canister, purge valve, EGR, fuel pressure regulator, seals to the fuel lines, fuel filter, two convertible top hydraulic lines, plugs and wires, one tail light and one side marker light and various relays and switches I might be qualified to adjust the fade on my radio. Guess not!
Some times being a little ADD is not helpful. (except when you own a Jag)
Still have front springs and calipers before I paint it.
