Default 95-96 Owners: anybody needing new seats in AFW/SDC

Merry Christmas everyone !

Just wanted to get a feel for something.....

Less than two years ago I installed new seats from Autoberry on my 95 XJS. I paid Autoberry extra money over their "normal" full leather price to make sure they finished **every single panel** in leather, even the side panels that one doesn't sit on, which would normally be synthetic, about 900.00....The car is a weekend driver and the seats still look nearly as good as when I got them except for a light stain from jeans in one of the seats. Seats where done in barley or coffee AFW/SDC

Fast forward to last month, and I got my hands on a pair of new old stock beautiful seats made in Connolly Autolux leather like the one found in the late V12 cars. I am going to have those seats installed early next year .

Question is; would anyone be interested in buying my two year old Autoberry seats? If I can at least get 350.00 plus shipping I will probably sell them, but if not, I will have the upholstery shop use them as material to make me a new rear seat cover and front door handles.

Does it sound like something people might be interested in? Is what I am expecting to get for them too high?

Thanks!!

Merry Christmas,
Good timing as I am about to plan a trip to leather clinic to purchase material to redo my seats. Please send some pictures as I would seriously consider making the purchase.
I do have a question for you based on what you wrote. I went to Jaguar Leather Trim Color Chart but they do not have my color, which is SDC. They do however have AFW and am wondering if you are saying that SDC and AFW are the same color?
Thanks,
Jomo

Thanks for your reply.

Technically AFW Barley and SDC Coffee are not the same colour. Barley was made up to 94 and Coffee is 95/96. To me the colors are nearly identical. Very little if any difference. At the time I got the seats from Autoberry they only had the AFW Barley as an option. If you go to their site today they have both Coffee and Barley as options, but I bet they use the same hides.

i was planning on purchasing autoberry seat covers for my car some time in the very near future anyway i have also got some seat track issues as well so as long as shipping cost is not astronomical i think id be more than happy to take them off your hands. we can ship them to my shop as well witch is a business address if it helps on the shipping cost.

Thanks for your replies guys!!

Sorry if this self explanatory but I am selling the leather, not my actual seats. It's like what you would get when you order new skins from Autoberry or any other such outlet. Just to be clear :-)

EzRider these wont fit your seat frame because they are integral headrest, but I am sure you are aware of that. :-)

Jomo I don't know the shipping but will try to find out for you.

No problem bro. Glad we cleared that up. Just a piece of advise, if you place your order online, call them up and ask for a 100 percent leather skins. Tell them you don't want any synthetic on **any** part, not even the sides. They will charge you just a little more, but it's worth it.

Wow I am glad that you cleared that up as I too thought that it was the entire seats that were up for sale. In this case I'd prefer to stick to my original plans and redo my seats myself using Furniture Clinic.
Thanks!
Jomo
