95 xjs 4.0 interior light fuse blowing
When it rains, it pours eh? All of my interior lights including the sun visor vanity lights are out. I found fuse #6 under the driver dash was blown and attempted to replace it(3 times) and as soon as I push the fuse it, it blows again. Anyone have an idea where I should start first? I tried disconnecting the batter and then putting a fuse it but as soon as I reconnected it, pop blown fuse. Also wondering, when I reconnect the battery there is an audible sound as the car 'comes alive' again like a loud pop or click. It is not coming directly from the battery cables as I reconnect, it's from somewhere in the car, is this normal? Other than the interior fuse (and now a recent idle problem from another post) the car has been perfect in every way.

Sounds like a "dead short".....pinched wires, a voltage wire chaffed thru and touching metal, something along those lines.
Might be easy to find, might not
Determine everything that is on that fuse and inspect the related wiring, inspect lamp sockets, etc. And/or disconnect everything on that circuit and see if the fuse still blows. If it doesn't, start plugging things in. When the fuse blows again you'll then, hopefully, have a better idea of where the short is.
A wiring diagram in hand would be very helpful in tracing the problem
Cheers
