My new XJS is great - with the exception of the left and right interior signal light idicators. The sound is barely audible and in the sunlight I cannot even see that they are working. Has anybody improved the sound level/and or the lighting with new bulbs etc - or am I the only one having this problem?

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try but I'm not sure how much a brighter bulb would help. The main problem is that the idiot light strip is mounted so close to the edge of the brow of the binnacle such that it provides no shade and the lights wash out in bright sunlight with the top down.

In fairness, many convertibles suffer the same problem. I have no idea about the indicator volume but agree that it is quiet.
