Default 96 XJS headlamps not working

Before I tear into this job I wanted to see if anyone has had this problem.

My parking lights are working and high beams are working but when I put the headlamps on nothing. I feel is is probably the switch which I think means a new turn signal. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the fuses? There are separate fuses for high and low beam for each side of the car.

Obviously you've checked the bulbs themselves.

I've blown out the regular beam but still had high and service.

Anyways, make sure you check the relay. DAC6902. It resolved my issue when I couldn't get the high beams to work.

Default Headlamp control module

Anchor,

Several of us, including myself, have recently had the same or similar issues. I unplugged the headlamp logic module and turned it 180* and touched it to the harness I had just unplugged. Everything worked correctly. Very intuitive, of course!

Anyway, SNG has a reproduction replacement for $104. DAC6902* Fixed my issues.

Good luck!

Sounds like your headlight logic module has crapped out. Same thing happened to my '95. The cost is about $100.00 US. The module consists of a circuit board and two relays. Usually the relays burn out.

DAC6902 should solve your problem. For sh*ts and giigles take the burned out module and carefully cut the cover from the base and pull the cover off. Take a look at the two relays soldered to the PCB, give 'em a "sniff" and you should smell burning from the relays...
