96 XJS Seat heaters
For better or worse my XJS doesn't have seat heaters (must admit I'd like to have them here in N. California). I should qualify this as saying I don't think it has seat heaters as the activation switch on the door is blank.
Every other 96 XJS I've seen has them and mine has all the other options for that year. Anyone know why they didn't put seat heaters in specific cars or are they in fact there with no switch?

Thats strange. I have never seen a facelift without seat heaters..... anyway, having had my seats apart completely to recover them, I can tell you that the seat heater elements (There are 2, one in the base, and one in the back) are well entangled into the seat itself, so it would seem surprising if Jaguar made 2 separate seats, ones with and without the heater elements.
I would maybe start by looking underneath the seat at the front...... You will see a ribbon cable that is for the power seats and the memory. If you unscrew the box cover thingy that this ribbon cable goes into you should be able to see a 3 wired connector which is for the seat heaters. This connector connects to a timer box which switches the seats off after 15 minutes or so.
Do you have this wiring ? (If you do it may mean you also have the elements in the seats. Then you would just need to work out how to get 2 door switch boxes and the 2 timer boxes..... should be available from a breakers.
I spent ages getting my seat heaters working (I'm in NorCal too) but now that I have them I couldn't do without them. They are great at night with the heater on :-)
