Default ABS-cars retrofit or upgrade?

Anyone here dumped the Teves system for earlier or newer non problematic pump driven brakes? I recall reading somewhere here that the XK8 system is compatible up to 2004? Oddly enough a guy is parting out an 04' near me and it jogged my memory.

As the weather cools my car is pulling to the right again, I know its a ring inside the box thingy under the brake fluid hopper, as the rest of the brakes all around from lines to pads is new.

Many, many years ago, I was involved in that with a 1988, back to 1986 booster, NO ABS system.

We had the donor car alongside the '88, and the amount of fiddly stuff we needed was countless.

LEGALLY, no idea in any other market than here. Insurance acceptability, NO IDEA.

NOT for the feint hearted, and I will never go there again.

It worked out OK, but what a HUGE task.

It sounds "simple enough", but is grossly understated in my opinion, the work involved that is.
