Hi guys. I have been searching for the part number for a low pressure AC hose and I am coming up with different numbers.
The hose I am referring to is the hose that uses a 1 1/16 wrench to remove and is connected to the expansion valve.
Does anyone have the correct part number for this hose?
Appreciate it.
CAC3696
Runs between the fuel cooler and expansion valve/evaporator. Not sure why you are running into variations, as most, if not all HEs, with the GM compressor used the same setup. Late 6.0s did away with the cooler and changed the expansion valve type, and I don't know about the pre-HEs.
Hmm. The one on the expansion valve is low pressure one. I don’t think anyone sells it anymore. You can get the two high pressure hoses (compressor to Cooler and cooler to evaporator) but the two on the other side I haven’t found.

My car is an 87 and uses earlier low pressure hose assembly. Back then the hose just had regular clamps instead of crimped fittings. I’m changing to modern refrigerant and will attempt to have modern fittings crimp in place of the plain hose and clamp.
I have to mix and match.
My 88 XJS has a 96 LT1 engine with a 4l60E trans.
I am using the Jaguar expansion valve and the Jaguar MK111 controls to signal the compressor and fan to turn ON.
The compressor, condenser and dryer is all GM so I have to use the CAC 3696 from the Expansion valve and patch into the GM lines.
I have to visit the JY to find the line that leaves to top of the GM condenser.
Once I have that line and the CAC 3696 I will be able to get the hoses made up. I am not using the fuel cooler so CAC 3696 will have to be lengthened.
