Adjusting throttles is very important!
I had no idea how important and what difference it would make, to have both butterflies working in sync.
Yesterday I adjusted both openings to .002" and went up the linkages to throttle turn table. Since I have some play in the links (ordering bushings right now), I had to preload both sides from turn table to butterflies, by spreading the push rods a bit.
In any case, difference in power, response and engine balance is huge. Even though my motor ran seemingly well, I apparently had two I6 motors and not one V12.

Step 2, 16CU > 6CU.
I have 1, original 6CU and it always seemed like it ran best in my car, plus I have 2 x 16CU, that always gave me trouble. However, now that I fine tuned TPS and throttle valves, 16CU finally kicked in and gave me a lot better engine rev up and smoother acceleration. I also like my idle with 16CU better and it is more stable.

YES, go for an aftermarket ECU, and fuel system, when i started my project in 1994, a 78 V12, it was an engineering nightmare,(my opinion).
i used an SDS system, been great all this time, small upgrades as time went on,
i got rid of the AAV, and use the TB plates for idle control, engine response and power are great(as in some of my pix), MPG is as good or better than original, with on hiway driving lean/rich adjustments, using an AFR gage.
course to each his own!

Sorry, I get the same thing here. It's always something with these cats. As I got told when thinking of buying one: do you hate having money? Apparently I did and didn't know it!
