Default air cleaner boxes

just got hold of another set of TWR air cleaner covers, this is my 3rd set as I have in the past sold them on to pay for something more important on the car or drove over one, (not recommended)
1 thing I have noticed, that apart from the difference on the abs models, is that they have all been different the first set the trumpets pointed in slightly the second set pointed up slightly and were not far off the hood liner and this pair are dead straight. off to get the sand blasting and powder coating done tomorrow,
pic is pair 1

What are they like inside please? I have an idea that some of them had a tube that went directly towards the throttle.

not these Gregg, cant say I have seen any like that either, I cant see what
difference that would make on a road car, perhaps it was for competition?

jk these are a neat little item. Are the stickers preserved or did they get removed when it was blasted and pc'd?

Default Air Cleaner Boxes

Just passing on, if anyone needed a set of the stock Air Cleaner Boxes from an 89 or a 91 XJS -5.3 litre, I have two sets I'll part with, since I installed the Growler tubes with K&N filters, and the spare complete '91 powertrain I bought last year came with a set also.
No Charge, just pay the shipping costs.

I was lucky enough to find stock, at the time, at scparts Crawley Sussex.
I now need more , if any one else needs them get in touch with them they might make more if demand is there.

Greg,
I could really use the air boxes. Mine are missing. My car ('89 V12 convert) was partially disassembled when I bought it. If you still have them, could you PM me and I will reply with address info, etc. THANK YOU!!

I have a pair of supposedly TWR air boxes that I bought of Ebay and they are completely different: each box is fitted with 2 short pipes, not the single long one.
Anybody come across these before?

Yes, those are the ones. I don't know how they sound as I haven't fitted them yet! Can't decide whether to paint them black or not.
I had a Lister once and I don't recall it having the twin intakes on it but it was a while ago.
