Default Air Con Trinary Switch

I have a leak in the air con which is coming from the area in/around the Trinary Switch. I believe the part No is LNA 7657AB Aircon trinary switch.

Does anyone know where I could get one, or which other cars it was used on?
Does anyone have an 'old' one, I could use to determine exactly where the leak is

Thanks

(UK Surrey area)

Ask these guys, they're in Beare Green. Went there on Wednesday and they had 7 or 8 XJSs that they were breaking and sheds full of parts!

Gtretsch,

LNA7657AB is still available from Jaguar, either online or through any Jaguar dealer. However, it was only fitted to x300 saloons, not XJS models. What car do you have?

I suggest that you use an interchange for it. It looks like the high side low pressure switch? As to your leak it may just be an o ring leaking.

Thanks for the suggestions Roger95 .... but sorry I don't know what you mean by "interchange"

PS Totally impressed with the speed of replies and the willingness to help. Thanks.

Gretsch,

I'm still not sure why you need LNA7657AB? It's not fitted on an XJS. Do you have an x300 saloon?

"Interchange" an alternate part who's form, fit and function are the same.
Did you take the P/N off the switch that's in your car? PTJS1 is correct in that the P/N you've provided is used in the X300. What model year is your XJS?

Default Your right it's an LMB 7657AA

I took it off today and your right it's an LMB 7657AA !

Both top and bottom have ultra-violet dye showing (but there isn't a trail of dye from top to bottom)

I attach two pics.
The 1st showing that the 'top' (i.e. where the wires emerge) is not fitted fully. Is this 'cause the pressure has forced it out?? (surely not, but be pleased if someone would confirm)

The 2nd pic shows bottom and the 'O' ring - which (on re-fitting) isnt very compressible - so I definitely need a new one.

I'll try Simply Performance tomorrow to see if they have an LMB 7657AA.

Gretsch,

Lmb7657aa is also still available new from any jaguar dealer £42 + vat. But it's fitted to XJ40s. We still don't know what car you've got? Can you just confirm that you don't have an XJS?

Please be gentle with me .... it's a 1997 DB7 with 3.2 litre straight six,
and therefore lots of Jag parts.

Gretsch,

That's fine, we're still happy to help! As I said, just go to any jaguar dealer and they'll have it in the next morning. Alternatively, order it from Jaguar online at Genuine Jaguar Parts and Jaguar Accessories for Classic Jaguars from Jaguar Classic Parts UK

Good luck

Paul

I've ordered one, and hopefully it comes with the 'o' ring.
I'll update in a couple of weeks as to whether it has cured the leak.

Thanks all for your help.
