Default Anti lock light. 89 convertible

hi all, my yellow anti lock light is permanently on. Car has had all new pads discs , replacement abs sensors. Fresh fluid all bled up ok. Pump motor appears to work fine. Ball presurries what seems OK. Car is off the road but if I pump the brakes 3 or 4 times the pump kicks in and quickly goes off again. Does this every 3 or 4 pumps. I've had the switch pressure valve out and it looks OK as far as you can tell, no crud etc. Anyone suggest a way forward to resolve this without spending another small fortune lol

I have just replaced my accumulator ball and can now get around 7 brake applications before the pump cuts in to top up. I you have a look at some of my posts you will see I was having problems with a sinking pedal which is now resolved after new hoses, pads and bleeding all the old crappy fluid out. My abs light would come on when the accumulator pressure got to low before I changed it.

I've read through the tests posted by warren and I think my first call will be the earth cable in the boot.

Apparently the car needs to exceed 19mph to re set itself. As its not achieved this yet do you think this could be the problem?

I would certainly give it a go. Just go steady while doing it.
