Default Anyone know what this is and why it’s on the passenger side of the car

I took the dash off because of a presumed vacuum leak behind the HVAC system and found this staring at me when I opened everything up. The blue and red striped wires on it tells me it probably has something to do with heating and cooling but I haven’t a guess as to where it would go so far over on the car. Any help is appreciated

Cabin air temp sensor and plumbing, for the HVAC. The inlet is under the lip of the dash pad, above the glovebox. Looks like you might be missing an elbow or something? It might still be on the dash pad.

Cheers

  • Ah I see! I popped the dash pad off and never saw it disconnect from the dash, looking at the back of it there is an elbow that it seems to connect to. Tired eyes miss details I suppose, thank you.
