I am in the process of changing the auto trans filter on my 1991 xjs v12.
I have a shop manual and it appears very straight forward, however once I got under the car I realized that the aft floating trans mount was in the way. How do I proceed?

Most of us remove the mount....which isn't particularly pleasant. Chances are it's worn out and needs replacing anyway.

However....

A year or so ago I think someone posted a procedure that gets the job done without removing the mount. I can't remember the details but some archive searching might be a good idea.
