Default Battery tray removal

To get fuel sump tank out, do I need to remove the battery tray first? I assume I do.

So, what is holding the battery tray in place and how do I remove it?

I removed the two bolts at the top, as can be seen in the picture below, but the tray didn't move a bit. What else is holding it? The long bolted rod on the left? Did not seem like it, but I might be wrong. In any case, if I do need to un-do the rod, access to it appears to be challenging...

No, that tank comes out without removing that tray.

Its known as the "Fiddly Movement", to quote Doug..

The fixing bolt at the bottom left of the tank is hardest to see and get at, FYI. If you get your head down level with the tank, you can see the bolts under the battery tray.

Hello again

As per the below pictures - sump tank is bolted to the two ears that is part of the battery holder (top 2 bolts).

Battery tray can stay in to remove the sump as mentioned above

As you can see on mine - it is a bit rusted - and is not going back in. I could repair it, but have come up with plan B

Bottom bolt is a similar ear on the boot floor

Cheers
Steve

Looks like I need to disconnect and move away the feed from the sump tank and then I might have a chance to access the bottom bolts... My project for Saturday!
