Default Bleeding radiator 3.6

When I bought my 3.6 (with a 4.0), the expansion tank was removed in order to get it welded up. I reinstalled and filled with distilled water but the temp gauge does not give a reading and I don't feel hot water from either the upper or lower hoses. I'm concerned that there is air in the system. I'm wondering if there's a method to bleed. The V12's had a bleed screw on the top of the radiator. I do not see one on mine.

Thanks

Worth trying the following: Loosen the top hose where it attaches to the rad to see if the coolant has got there. If so, check the thermostat. But always after refilling run the engine with the heater on defrost as this promotes full filling of the entire heater system and the block.
