Paul, can't wait for you to be united with your Jag. More pics, Son!!!!

couple of thoughts:

- someone needs to manufacture the starfish alloys in 17" or 18". I would buy a set in a heartbeat

- the leaper is in the right place but is not original - check out pics with the growler

- are your headlights missing the wipers and spray nozzles?

Believe me I'm not nitpicking your car - it looks great!! Would love to see some interior shots as well.

Hurry up and get home to drive the hell out of it!!

Im writing this downing my first beer in Saigon airport. It tastes brilliant!

Good to be on land again.

As for the Goose, she comes with the growler also so I can swap it out when I get board of the leaper. Not sure about the wipers. If I got larger rims one day it would probably be lattice alloys

Time to buy some duty free scotch and cigars

Stay tuned...

sorry i shouldn't blog when drunk. it was the first time in 4 weeks lol!

sorry...back on topic..tomorrow is the big day for me! Cant bloody wait.

i have to share a funny story when i got home yesterday:

I bought a Jaguar XJS buyers guide before I left to go to work 4 weeks ago (dont really need it now lol) and when i got home yesterday, i checked my pile of mail and in among my stuff (including the XJS ROM) i found my little book.

I started reading it, and low and behold, who should I see in the front credits and special thanks? Our very own Grant Francis from the Jag Forum!

how cool is that! (hope ya dont mind me sharing this Grant)

Ha ha. Not quite Flint. Twas the night before Goosemas....

had to pack up my eldest son's scaletrix today and push the lounge to the back of the garage. Made the boys pick up their junk in there as its gonna get crunched under the tyres of one Blue Goose tomorrow!

Cant bloody wait! Tomorrow is the day! Will be definitely taking some pics!

I am as excited as this blue blighter...

Sunday is here!

Just got word from the delivery man, he is in the Gold Coast (2 hours away). Not long now!

Been reading up the XJS whilst waiting.

Also found the length measurement of the XJS (just under 5 meters), had to push that couch back almost against the wall, but she's gonna fit just fine

not long now!

hellllllllll yeahhhH!!!!!!'

the day finally came!

Wow it was a mixed feeling of excitement and nerves. I was very afraid to break the Goose at first, but after driving around a few times here and there i started to get used to it.

i was very happy with the purchase and she looks better than i even imagined. i found the car to be real fun to drive and boy she takes off no probs at the lights...damn!

the real adventure begins!

Oh yeah, this thread delivers. Turned on the computer specifically to see if The Goose had arrived. Nice.

What is that paint code? Solent Blue??

Twin coach lines (pin stripes)

Classic Starfish alloys

V12 (not trying to start any trouble LOL)

Let's see some interior pics, man!!!

So what are your initial driving impressions?

Congratulations!!!

For sure guys. Thanks for following!Flint yes shes a V12. The colour is saphhire blue metallic.

Was actually quite nervous yesterday when I hopped in. Kids were excited and asking me a million things I dont know yet, so I had to convince them for Daddy to have some alone time in the garage.

Hoping in its such a differnent experience. So low to the ground. So long. Like driving a battleship lol.

Wow for such a powerful engine shes so purrrrfectly quiet!

I took here first for some petrol. Filled er up with some 98 Vortex. Then checked the trye pressure but couldnt find the pressure chart on any of the doors. No worries. Good excuse to fly back home and look it up in the ROM. No probs. Tyres ok albiet not exact pressure as the ROM.

Then I picked up the kids, took em for a spin. They loved it of course. Smiles from ear to ear.

Drop em off picked up a mate. Showed him the engine and we took it for its first 80km hr trek. Did beautifully until I realised I didnt close the bonnet properley so a quick detour to shut her down properely. Gotta get used to the little things.

Took her home and parked. Celebrated with Beer Wine and Spirits.

All in a days work!
