Default Bonnet(Hood)Pad

Since the original part is discontinued, does anyone have a suggestion for replacing the pad.

No idea up there, but we have Fitch The Rubber Man. They have New Age stuff on the roll.

Also, try somone that supplies the Hotrod/Custom fraternity, they WILL have something for sure.

This outfit sells a variety of sizes and thicknesses. Inexpensive, similar to original, looks good.

I ditched mine altogether 6 years ago. So no heat insulation under the bonnet at all

was wondering where to find insulation myself...and Voila someone has the answer....LOVE IT....the Forum that is.

I got mine from a guy in the states, about 10 years ago, I haven't seen them advertised lately but it was evidently non in

flammable aircraft insulation

I think what you’re looking for is closed cell nitrile neoprene. I recall 1/4” being the standard, but perhaps 3/8” being the max.

You need 3M #80 to apply.

I bought mine from the same guy, sadly he passed away some years ago
