Can someone look on there post 88 model and rell me what holds this panel to the rear wing.

On my 88 XJS there are studs on the underside of the rear fender. See attached photo


studs shown here. I removed the nut and spring washer to show you.

 

Early were screws and nuts and later were studs and nuts, not sure when change occured.

 

My 1985 had scews and nuts, which I changed for stainless allen key headed bolts and nuts.

The reason I ask is it worked out cheaper to buy 2 good 2nd hand panels than to get a second hand earlier courtesy Hella lamp. Mine were self tapped in place. The parts book has them as M5 nuts and plastic covers. I have the covers so just the nuts to get.
