Default Brake Hose Lock Nuts where can I buy these in the UK

Although I can buy Brake Pipes, nobody seems to be able to supply the Lock Nuts to clamp the Brake Hose in place where it passes through the Body Work.

Even the Thread looks non-standard

Any Ideas?

OB,

If its the washers and locknuts for the front flexis, then it's part number C41712 for the nut and WF10001J for the washer. Nuts are only about 50p from Jaguar or pattern parts 30p from SNG Barratts or David Manners etc. They are M10 but I THINK a fine 1.0 thread.

Hope that helps

Paul

If you mean the thin nut that does up from the engine side to fix the male end of the flexible into the body metalwork, I am pretty sure it is Metric Fine Thread. It looks like UNF but I do not think it is.

Hi Greg

I think you are 'bang on' with that, as I seem to remember that I had this problem last time.

For some strange reason they are not supplied with the new Brake Pipes, even though its almost certain that you are going to need them.

Hi Paul

Yes, they are the ones I need but I just cannot understand why they don't supply them with the New Brake Pipes.

That's just cheap on the part of the manufacturer. I will note mine came with nuts whenever l have needed them.
