Default Brake pad recommendation?

Search comes up blank for "pads" in this forum. Anyone have a recommendation for pads that can stop this heavy machinery efficiently, quietly and with minimal dust and rotor wear?

I don't mind less durability as long as they keep everything else intact. Thanx for your help!

My favorite, and I had serveral brands over the years, on my XJS and my Ser III XJ6 was the Raybestos RPG series of pads. Great all-round pad and little dusting.

Akebono Euro ceramics are very good. Not sure if they make 'em for the older Jags though. I have 'em on my XJR and they are great.

Cheers

Thank you, Doug. It's been difficult locating the Raybestos RPG. I've found a PGD 135. Can you tell me the composition of the RPG series... is it organic, semi-metallic, ceramic?

I read somewhere that ceramics may not work well with all OEM rotors?

We sell a lot of the Ferodo pads for the XJS. They are semi-metallic. That is what Jaguar went to to after going away from the Girling brand.

By the way, I agree about the Akebono pads but they don't make them for this car.
