rad is out and pressure washed, ready for rodding tomorrow, i thought. well many many many fins have deteriorated, from p/o living at beach. Any body ever heard of replacing fins with something, or putting screen in front of rad to get the effect of the fins??????

 

or, taking screen and filling the slots where the fins are gone?

 

You need to have the core replaced. if the fin are gone the radiator has no ability to cool. Also the tubes have to be corroded too.
