I have also been told that a dial gauge may be most accurate, also Haynes has it down at 4 th. but jag lovers states 2 for the h.e which one is correct?

For the 5.3 V12 I went with .002 as any more raises the idle speed

Well, I've been looking for wire gauges. They would be a bit more accurate than a strip gauge as they would read only at the point they are inserted. No luck yet. Should be .002" for H.E.s.

I used a flat feeler gauge, the butterfly should be set at .002 for the HE
