Default Can Anyone Find My Phone?

Hi Guys

'Carmen' my Morocco Red XJS came with her own Phone that seems to have disappeared in the mists of time, all I can tell you is that it was made around 1995 and had a curve in the handset to fit in the Cradle

I would like to get another one just like it, any ideas?

Does anyone know the model of Phone that was suppled with 'Carmen' my Morocco Red XJS all that I can tell you is that it was made around 1995 and had a Curve to fit the Cradle shown in the Photo

More Photos of 'Carmen' can be found here: More Photos of 'Carmen' my Morocco Red XJS

It will most probably be either a Motorola or Nokia. They were the most common. BUT you might have network issues, as the older "C Network" has long been deactivated (in Europe) allowing only "D Network" and later (LTE, UMTS, ...) to be used.

Hi Daim

As I always use my mobile for calls, I just need to have one for the Poseurbility factor, as having an empty phone cradle just looks so wrong on so many different levels, so it really wouldn't matter if it didn't work

Ah, ok. My 89 had the factory car phone but it was removed prior to my purchase. Was mounted to the side of the center console.

Maybe someone with a 1995 brochure can say what brand it was and how the phone looked...

I'll have a look on ebay on vintage mobiles and hopefully I'll know it when I see it

Ages ago I bought an XJS telephone; that is, a house telephone shaped like an XJS.
Doesn't work but pretty cool (if you are a saddo like me).

Hi Steve

Yass! Sign me up for the Saddo Club!

Have you got any Pics of that Phone, as for me I'm thinking that my missing Phone could possibly be a Motorola Traveler?

OB, it's not a car phone, it's a house phone that is shaped like an XJS. I'll grab a photo when I get home.

Greg, still got it but still not sure about the leak although fuel leak in the boot could be a culprit. Again.
Away at sea at the moment so it can dribble away to it's heart content!

Steve;

I've one of those house phones that looks like an XJS. In black and a hard top. I've never plugged it in to see if it works.

If anyone wants it, let me know., or if anyone has an XJ6 phone replica and wants to swap, I'm in.

My 94 Jeep had a phone at o e time A PO installation. the guts are under the passenger front seat. the MIC is in the upper part of the post. The hand set is missing, but there are signs of a holder on the console. . ,

The tech is long gone..

Carl.

Jagcad, don't give it away too cheaply!
They are very rare and therefore desirable.
I was thinking of swapping mine for a Celebration convertible.

Swap the phone, not the car!
Anyway, still really tempted by this:
