Default can anyone identify this part?

Changing out lots of hoses on my 1988 XJS. Saw this bulbous black thing to left of oil fill cap. It has split in it around it's base so i'm wondering if i need to replace it? Weird clamp on it around the base. Thanks for the help!

Part number C44386 breather cap. I'd replace it, yes. Google the part number; shouldn't be hard to find. Clean the breather pipe as well.

It's #6 in this illustration
