So I keep getting a P0411 code on my XJS that indicates the Secondary Air Injection Pump is failing.. I notice most of the pumps you see online to buy are rebuilt units and when you buy one there is a core charge indicating that the one you send in will be rebuilt..

Is there a rebuild kit somewhere to do it yourself? I know its only $100 but I like to take chit apart and fix it myself..

Same with the power steering pump, mine has a slow leak (probably from sitting for 4 years) but was wondering if they sold a kit to rebuild it?

 

I haven't seen rebuilt kits for either....but I've never searched in depth.

Do you have an electric air injection pump? I've taken a couple of those apart. Rusted solid....didn't go any further. With effort I reckon they can be fixed.

yes its electric.. May take it off and apart to see whats up with it.
