AGREED.
Of all the past and present Jags, the XJS's in my fleet are remembered the fondest, and missed the most.
Looks, a given, never took to the E, just the way it is.
The XJS as a highway cruiser, never found a better beast. The XJR-6 came close, but only close.

While I do love the lines of the XJS convertible and feel it is one amazing looking car, I am on the opposite side of the fence regarding the coupes. I feel the buttresses look like an afterthought and ruin what could have been a beautiful car. Something tacked on the car purely for aerodynamics. But then again, I am not a fan of the E-Type either. It is all personal taste.

I agree, the OP's car is Very Nice, (for an XJS

But as we're discussing the most beautiful of all production cars ever to hit the tarmac, in MY opinion (we Are dealing with opinions), None of them match the clean, pure, unadulterated, Perfectly proportioned lines of the Xj6 Series 2. (Without the "leaper" as Sir William intended!)
I also never liked the E-type (won't say what I really think of them in this Public forum), wouldn't have one if it was given to me. I'd probably flip it (sell it on) immediately. As other have also mentioned, I'm also not fond of the flying buttresses of the XJS either, nor especially the disproportionately HUGE quarter-round tail lights. (I was going to get really graphic here, but have thought better of it).
The Convertible XJS is the Only one I'd even consider owning as there are no flying buttresses; one of the later versions with horizontal tail lights, and in BLACK of course.
However, as the OP said in the beginning and others have repeated, it's all a matter of opinion and Personal Taste.

One can only feel sympathy for those who cannot recognse the perfection of the XJS Coupé.....
