Hi Grant

Although you should never let the facts ever get in the way of a good Story, that Shower Gel was Pre-GF and only used by me.

Gone are the days of the 10 minute Shower even resorting to using Washing up liquid sometimes, as nowadays Bath Time is a much more complicated affair.

Where the only liquids allowed must be:

(A) Expensive and (B) Contain Exotic Perfumes, that have been extracted from Plants and Trees that I have never heard of.

But it doesn't end there, Oh No!, as no Bath Time would be complete with out a couple of dozen 'Tea Lights' carefully placed around the edge of the Tub.

'No I don't know why either!'

Not sure if its to keep me out, or stop me getting out when I get in.

As for the 'Mincer' which I broke, when trying to use the suction base as a mount for a Camera, 'Thanks for bringing that up!'

In the end it cost me plenty, when I had to replace it with one of those Bullet Juice Extractor 'Thingys'

Where working late into the Night the GF has been perfecting various drinks and Smoothies that could make you want to throw up, just by looking at them.

Don't Try This At Home!

A Mushroom Omelet To Die For!

Never seen one of these on a Cookery Programme (I wonder why?)

Take 4 Eggs (or rather don't!) and crack into the 'Thingy'

Add Mushrooms Salt and Pepper and Liquidize Then Pour the mixture into a heated Pan to Cook

The result of this is while it bizarrely Still tastes like a Mushroom Omelet

It looks like a Slab of Grey Concrete

So probably best to be eaten while wearing a Blindfold!

OB, before ypu make yourself look like an idiot in the shop buying parts

It is called Dexron (without the t) and not 111 but III aka Roman 3. It is only the specification code from GM. GM used the name 'Dexron', Ford 'Mercon', ZF uses 'Lifeguard'.

As such, Dexron III is technically ALWAYS a mineral oil based fluid. Synthetic will maybe fullfill and even go beyond the specifications, but won't necessarily be a proper Dexron III.

Everytime I saw that combination, my eyes really started to hurt and this has been itching for a long time but don't get me wrong mate, please

Agreed,

We have it easier here now.

Dex 3 is the common labeling.

Multi Vehicle Transmission Fluid is also a very common labeling, and almost always on Full Synthetic containers.

DOUBLE POSTED, AS "IT" AND I HAVE A LUV HATE RELATIONSHIP, USUALLY THE LATTER.

#1424 below is the one to read.

We get it easy down here.

"Dex 3" is the labeling norm, and yes it is always Mineral.

"Multi Vehicle Transmission fluid" is also very common, and is always Full Synthetic.

I have been using the Full Synthetic in everything for a very long time. Makes it easier for the brain cells. Same as Dot4, in everything.

No more trying to remember?, remember what??, forgot already, not important then.

Hi Daim

Put your eyes back in their Sockets, I've corrected my Spelling mistake (I think?) but now I'm even more confused than I was before.

If Dexron III is a mineral Oil and I want to use Synthetic, do I just ask for Dexron III Synthetic or has it got a totally different name?

One of the reasons being that I'll be ordering 'Click and Collect' and if you accidentally order the wrong stuff, its complicated for them to change it over.

Basically just type into Google 'aynthetic ATF Dexron III'. The Dexron III is only a spec, like 20w50 is the spec of the oil used for the V12

Google will then spit out some synthetic automatic transmission fluids with the approval of Dexron III spec.

As said, Dexron III is in it's original form purely mineral oil based. Modern synthetic versions are available.

Thanks Daim

Got it now

Cheers!

Heh OB. I use this to fill up my PS Fluid Tank. It kinda crumples out like an accordion and can snake around the pipes.

Hi Bro

I've got one of those funnels but I found that my Pump Action Shower gel bottle is better for doing that job.

As you can keep it in the wing piece of the boot, just in case you need an emergency top up.

Fair call. Just don't give the GF the funnel to use for the bathroom as a replacement for the bottle you "commandeered" though ha ha ha

Hi Paul (ptjs)

Of course you are right but '50 Shades' my Grey XJS although not my favorite one of the two (that are running) is a little bit Special.

Only one previous owner and a FMDSH to die for!

Spent all her life in a heated garage, never seen rain, I could go on but you get the idea!

Keeping her outside would be a Sacrilege and I never normally drive them during the Winter, with so much salt on the roads.

The Tools I've got are only worth a pittance compared to the Cars, so it would probably be better to find somewhere to keep the Tools until Spring.

Hi Bro

Much more than my life is worth to go interfering with her stuff (again!)

tried one of those.... it has been rejected for a much more compact and efficient model that I keep in a bucket in the trunk... the bottom of the bucket lined with paper towels... ( I keep two of them in fact) to absorb
drips. not nice stuff that PS-fluid for you carpet or metal.

Yeah that is a good point. The bloody thing does drip. I have to curl it upwards and put a rag on it in my boot. My poor old boot actually needs a carpet clean

Hi Jonathan

Sounds as if you could have a bit of a Power Steering leak to contend with, as a funnel and a bucket does seem a bit extreme!

Default The Shape of things to come

Jaguar Just Built
An Electric 'e' Type!

Is this the shape of things to come as Jaguar just built an Electric 'e' type!

Not in production but more it would seem to show just what can be achieved with electric power.

It looks like an easy Transplant into an XJS although I'm not really sure if I'd want one.

As for one thing I'd miss the noise, or should that be the 'purr' as well as all the hassle

of getting hands on with the V12 whenever it has an 'off day'
which can sometimes be a bit too often!

Read all about it here: https://uk.yahoo.com/finance/news/ja...121658178.html

Default I've Changed my mind I want one!

I've Changed my Mind
I Want One!

Or at least I think I would love to have an Electric XJS

Check out these New Videos of Jaguars Electric Concept 'e' type

I wonder how much an Electric Conversion would Cost?
