Condenser colour

Would it make the slightest differance if my new alloy condenser was painted black?

The paint may insulate it a bit, reducing heat transfer.

Doug's answer is correct. Paint limits the heat transfer ability of the condenser.
If you REALLY wanted to paint it, a light dusting on the fins would be all I would do.

Aluminum corrodes more than you’d think. That’s why they usually get a lick of black paint… It’ll cool just fine painted black and last longer too.
