On my 94 it's in front of the passenger seat under the carpeted cover.

Default Still malfunctioning...

Found it, replaced it, didn't fit it.

So far I've replaced the console switch and the module. It is difficult to get the system to engage and when it does, it rapidly and steadily accelerates until the switch is turned off rather than locking the speed setting.

Any suggestions on my next diagnostic steps?

Thank you.

When the speed control on my '92 didn't work l checked the fuse and switch etc. What l found was that that a small plastic washer like part had gone soft and was not holding the link rod. Part 4 here....

Yes definitely do testing before throwing parts at the problem. It can get pricey!!

My suspicion would be a problem with the vacuum pump/solenoid arrangement in the engine bay. Download the electrical guide from the 'sticky' section and test the inputs and outputs.

Unfortunately the arrangement is different on the AJ6 cars so this would not apply.
