Default Door exchange

Will a door from a 1984 xjs fit a 1992?
I cannot seem to find this info.

Thanks

The doorskins show different part numbers for the spindle (round) type key vs the flat key, the door handles changed. I believe a 92 is the later type key, but it looks like the latch mechanism is the same.

Also the facelift doors have a frameless window.

Before I could find or afford a replacement door for my 94 coupe, I picked up one on a hunch, from an 85 at my local Pick-a-part.
It was only $35, and I had to remove the window frame from behind the 'vent' window.
The door fit perfectly and all the mechanicals and electrical components worked, after some wiring splices.
I didn't care that the door handle didn't match the passenger side or that the color was slightly off.
The hinges and latches were identical but the 94 door card would not fit.
My guess is that your fit will be even better between the 84 and the 92.
