Default door hinge aggravation

I've put up with my driver door "stay" not keeping the door open for sometime when getting out or in. Anyone know if it's the upper or lower hinge that is responsible?

Its on the upper hinge. Does the other door work? On my car there is an S shaped spring that hold the door open. Its broken on my drivers door. Its part of the hinge, not available as a separate part. Removing the hinge is not an easy task.

THX... that's what I thot. There's a UK company that remans that hinge with warranty, very spendy but no other source. Seems to be a real common problem. They do both doors by order, Simplyperformance Jaguar Specialists. If you order one, just keep in mind they list "passenger side" that is "driver side" for U.S. and visa versa.
