Elm or Burly Walnut
They both get very light in time.
I can see the diff now. Elm has darker centers in the circles. They are very similar. They should have chose two more contrasting wood options.

The grain structure is definitely elm.

Definitely Elm.
Elm fades to yellow.
Walnut fades to look like new elm.
Either way it is cracked so you need to sort it.
If you put a new bit in it won't match the old bits so you can decide what you prefer and replace the whole lot.
It shouldn't cost much more than a small fortune.
