Default End float input shaft of TH400

Hey guys,

does anyone know if Jaguar had some different end float figure to the input shaft as opposed to the GM specs? The TH400 with the V12 has a slightly different setup as compared to the standard GM TH400... So I would expect that to be a tad different - right?

Cgeers

Damien

I posted something about this a year or more ago, but I cannot find it. there is definitely something different about this matter in our applications. I have a feeling that after I posted it, you replied to say thanks, or somehow acknowledged it. meanwhile I will keep looking

I most probably did, Greg

When I get home, I'll search through the Jaguar TH400 manual and compare it to the GM TH400 one that I got...

Alright, just checked...

Jaguar says front end float (input shaft) should be between 0.003 and 0.025 in (0.076 and 0.610 mm).

GM says 0.015 to 0.030 in...

So Jaguar has a larger tolerance possible But it is overall smaller.

Good to know!
