Default engine stand brace

So I have heard some talk of people wanting an engine stand brace or.cradle to keep the motor from bending the stand. So I made my own last night and here are a couple picture

Looks good. How do you plan on turning it to work on the bottom.

A V-12 Jaguar is 680 lbs dressed for install while a dressed XK6 is about 605, Chevy Big Block 685. I've had a few XK6 engines on my stand without any bending and the V-12 is only 75lbs heavier but not any longer. I've had plenty of BB Chevys and Fords on my stand with no bending either. The V-12 Jaguar is an aluminum engine and while it LOOKS big it really weighs the same as a Buick 401 nailhead and Chevy 454, common engines in their day that don't "bend" the stand.

The v12 has dressed had a center of gravity that is way forward of a 454, plus with the exhaust and the steel flywheel. It's only on the Stand while I make the headers which I'll be doing this week
